First Pebble Backcountry ski day of the year. The 2013 -2014 ski season at Pebble Creek has been marginal at best. Finally by Feb we got some decent snow. I was skeptical as we drove to the hill but turns out we had a fabulous day. 3 laps in 8-10" of consistent, creamy powder.
Nick Vitale is a great skier and his red jacket really helped to get the skier to pop in these low light conditions.
After the last skin up, I could barely ski back down the front side and back to the car.
