Mike and Linda Engle met up with John and Eliza Schmidt for an extended weekend in Yellowstone National Park, Jan 30th - Feb 2nd. The Engle's took a snow coach in from the south entrance and the Schmidt's took a snow coach in from the West Entrance. We met in the Snowlodge at Old Faithful. On Friday, we took a snow coach shuttle to the continental divide and cross country skied back to Old Faithful via Spring Creek. There was fresh snow for the 12 mile ski tour. On Saturday, we toured the Geyser Basin around the Old Faithful area. We also took the Steam and Stars guided tour on Saturday night and braved sub-zero temps to view a brilliant night sky and hear the sounds of the geyser basin along the boardwalk. Very fun weekend.
